FDEA Student Essay Contest
FDEA is sponsoring a Student Success Essay Contest. One award of $500 will be given to the winning essay. The deadline for submissions each year is June 1. The winner will be contacted in August, and the award presented at the annual FDEA Conference.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must attend a college that with an institutional membership (contact porterk@cookman.edu if uncertain).
- Must have completed at least two developmental level courses.
- Must submit a current, official transcript.
- Must submit at least one letter of recommendation from one of your developmental instructors.
- Must submit a photograph or digital photo in jpg format.
- Must submit an essay between 230-500 words, size 12 font, double spaced, on the topic of your choice. This is to be emailed to Karen F. Nails-Porter at the email address below. Also, include a printed copy of the essay with your application package.
